I wake up after some good minutes, just because my alarm rings. My sleep is too weak, that I wake up with just a mere sound. My mind is a blur, and I feel the weight of the past hours dragging me back into the darkness. The room is still dark, the early morning light creeping through the curtains in thin slivers, but I don’t feel the peace I used to get from this time of the day. No, it’s different now. The chaos inside me doesn’t let me find peace, not even in sleep.
The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a faint glow through the large windows. I blinked awake, my mind already restless. The weight of the past few days clung to me like a dark cloud, threatening to drown me with each passing hour.
